Alpaca Manager Presentation No. 4

After a good nights sleep, I got up with Sue and Phil to pop over to see their alpacas and give them their breakfast. Sue feeds them all sorts of vegetable matter (apples, carrots, parsnips etc.) and they love it. I'll have to try our animals on this when we get home. With a heavy fog in the valley, we couldn't actually see anything from the top of the hill. Normally, they can see out to sea and over to Wales.

Back at Sue's, I then prepared for the next Alpaca Manager presentation while Miriam and Phil watched Rugby.  First, Scotland vs Japan and then SA vs Samoa.

Unfortunately, Sue also had trouble getting people to commit and only had two other people booked in. Then one phoned to say she couldn't make it due to time constraints! That left just Sue and a chap called Nigel who drove up from Cornwall. In the end I just gave a quick overview and went into some detail on areas Sue needed help with.

For the evening's entertainment Sue had invited us to attend her Brass Band concert in nearby Bideford. She plays the Baritone (like a small Tuba) in the Torrington Band and this concert was a massed band performance with two other bands. The concert was in a school auditorium and, disappointingly for the bands, there wasn't a huge turnout. The show was great and the repertoire covered a range of music. Here is the last part of War of the Worlds, 'The Eve of the War' by Jeff Wayne (one of our favorite albums!).

Sue is in the middle row, in the front.
After the concert it was back to Sue's place so that Phil could watch the rugby: England vs Australia. The match was already over so Sue had to sort out the recording so Phil didn't accidentally see the result when we turned the TV on! With the recorded match started from the beginning, we all watched the whole thing; and England's demise (much to Phil's disappointment). Finally got to bed about 11:30pm.
