After our busy day sight-seeing, we returned to our Airbnb accommodation and took a few of photos of the interior. It really is a neat place; very old, very small and poky with unbelievable character. You can forgive the uneven floorboards and wonky walls because it just exudes its age. Built in 1550 (originally as pig-sties) but used as accommodation for the last few hundred years. The owner now (and our hostess - Donnatella Crippa) is a real character. An Italian textile designer who has lived in Canada and the UK over the past 20 years or so. While she spoke perfectly good English, her accent was a real mixture of vowel sounds.

For dinner we walked back into town (about 10 minutes) and managed to get a table at the Coach & Horses for dinner. This was a real treat with great food and nice staff. We had to wait a bit for our meals due to a table of 14 which had pre-booked but we were in no hurry. Miriam had Lamb Belly Fritters with minted yogurt and a Terrine while I had a starter (whoops, can't remember what it was!) and Pork Loin with crushed new potatoes. All washed down with lashings of Chardonnay! So much so that I even told the waiter he looked and talked exactly like Bill Bailey (the English comedian of 'Black Books' fame). He was chuffed and said everyone did - he even showed us a photo on his phone of a Bill Bailey poster where the likeness was incredible.
We managed to weave our way back to Donnatella's without getting lost this time.
