Our reason for stopping in the Cotswolds was to visit the North Leigh Roman Villa. This is the site of the largest intact (more-or-less) mosaic floor in Britain. Again, a difficult place to find with our sat nav taking us around and about to find the site.
This is a free site and is accessed down a small country lane. The villa was one of the largest in Britain and was abandoned when the Romans left in the 5th century.
