Alpaca Manager Presentation No. 2

Saturday dawned bright and clear and, with access to a washing machine, Miriam caught up with our laundry. I went for an hour's walk to sus out where the local Alpaca Farm was located. It is only about 1km away (as the crow flies) but the road access is a bit longer via a nearby settlement. Walking was straightforward even if the track I used was a bit muddy. The English countryside is criss-crossed with these walking paths.

The presentation turned out to be a one-on-one session with Helen who tried but was unable to motivate anyone else to attend! We suspect that many will actually be at the Fleece Show tomorrow where I will be presenting to a reasonable crowd in the afternoon. Fingers-crossed.

Helen had invited us for lunch at 1pm after which I sat down with her and gave her an in-depth lesson in using Alpaca Manager. Miriam sat in the conservatory and read her Kindle - until she fell asleep in the sun! We are on holiday after all so this was allowed. Helen was very impressed and is now able to use the more advanced features of the software. Hopefully, she will be able to convince her other alpaca friends to purchase as well.

We are off to the local Indian Restaurant tonight (Spice Mahal) and then we leave for Aylesbury tomorrow for the Fleece Show.

It turns out that our hostess here is one Susan Lewis, an celebrated author. Judging by the number of awards on the walls of our accommodation and the BMWs and Mercedes scattered around, obviously quite successful! Check her details out here.
