Wednesday, our last full day in Umbria. It was raining again so we decided to have a quiet one. Rob had three sets of Ikea bookcases needing assembly so we did that in the morning. Jane and Miriam went off to Monterchi for haircuts.

Jane had booked us in for lunch at a small restaurant called 'Pappa & Ciccia' in Citta Di Castello for 1pm. This was to be our main meal of the day so we all made the most of it. Miriam had a delicious starter (called a souffle but more like a cheesy baked custard) followed by pumpkin ravioli with saffron & zucchini flowers. I had garganelli pasta with egg-plant followed by lamb chops with a pistachio crust. On the way back to the car, I managed to squeeze in one last Gelato,
Feeling pretty full, we headed back to Casa Tersalle for a siesta.
Miriam and I then spent the evening getting ourselves ready for the off tomorrow morning; we need to be heading back to Florence by 9am. Jane and Rob went off to their Wednesday evening
Bio Dance session. Pip (the cat) was very happy to settle in on our bed until we booted him out at lights out.
